All you need is a 1/10th scale electric off road radio controlled car 2 or 4 wheel drive, with either 27mhz, 40mhz or 2.4ghz radio control gear. Preferably with two or more different Crystals (frequencies) with either brushed or brushless motor systems.
You will need a 12Volt Car/Leisure Battery to charge your batteries between races as there is no mains electrics. Two or more 7.2 Volt Nicad/NiMH or 7.4 Volt Li-Po batteries and a battery charger to run off the Car/Leisure to suit the battery system you choose to use.

We race every Sunday morning from 9.am to 1pm at Poplars Farm located between Portsmouth and Southampton about 15 minutes from the M27.
We usually finish racing at 12.30pm and would expect racers to arrive by 9am at the latest for the start. If its Raining most people will not turn up to race, to spare their electrics!
We are keen to welcome new racers at TORCH, from beginners to experts. For the first three weeks of racing your are welcome to attend as a non-member however after that we ask you to join to help towards running the club.
In 2010 we became a BRCA (British Radio Car Association) registered club. Therefore in addition to club membership we require members to register for membership with the BRCA. This covers you for third party liability insurance, gives you a copy of the BRCA Handbook, magazine and various other benefits. You can join the BRCA as part of your TORCH membership (at a reduced rate) or independently.

Notes: A Junior is defined as under a person under the age of 16 years old, TORCH Club Membership fees are charged at 50% for that year if you join after the month of July and all Annual memberships are renewed in the January of each year.
